About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Scheduler to work on the pioneering SSN AUKUS Build Program at Osbourne, SA. Reporting to the Program Scheduling Manager, this role provides project-level schedule planning and maintenance throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Scheduler will develop and maintain executable project schedules aligned with resource availability, system dependencies, budget, and milestones/timelines as defined by the Project Manager. This role is crucial in the delivery of the SSN AUKUS Build program, ensuring the safe and successful planning and execution of project schedules on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver executable project schedules through stakeholder engagement.
  • Review, plan, and schedule all program activities.
  • Monitor and control all activities through the planning and execution phases.
  • Maintain and update project schedules using the latest available information.
  • Perform routine schedule analysis to highlight areas of concern.
  • Assist in the continual improvement of scheduling department processes and work instructions.
  • Participate in the continual development of the scheduling team.

About you

  • Technical qualification in a relevant Engineering/trade discipline or proven ability as a scheduler in a similar environment.
  • Demonstrated scheduling and project planning experience within a complex project environment, preferably in Defence, Shipbuilding, and/or heavy engineering industries.
  • Advanced skills in Primavera P6, Excel, Power BI, Power Pivot, SQL, and visualization software.
  • High level of integrity and resilience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex issues both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong continuous improvement advocate via project lessons learned.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
