The Innovation Centre will be a next generation build, combining the very best of open collaboration zones, cutting-edge innovation and access to a capital city’s premium amenities, embodying the enormous potential that South Australia has to offer and is the first new development to be built at Lot Fourteen.

The Centre will be a hub for the creation for defence related activity, such as AUKUS and the Hunter-Class Frigates, creating jobs to support state’s economy over the coming decades. The Innovation Centre’s pre-committed tenants are:
- $60 million Australian Defence Technologies Academy, jointly funded by the South Australian and Australian Governments through the Adelaide City Deal, operated by Adelaide University
- $20 million Innovation Hub, funded by the Australian Government through the Adelaide City Deal
- $20 million Space Assembly Integration and Testing facility, funded by South Australian Government
- BAE Systems Australia

A thriving destination, in the heart of Adelaide
The Innovation Centre is a thriving destination capitalising on a large talent pool and has Adelaide Botanic Garden, East End entertainment precinct and cultural institutions on the doorstep.
The Innovation Centre will bring together business, research and government to accelerate innovation and research collaboration at scale.
The state government will finance and build the Innovation Centre so that it meets the requirements of pre-committed tenants. The Department of Premier and Cabinet is expediting the build’s delivery, ensuring anchor tenants can move in by the end of 2028.
